Hello! It's me here. I just wanted to tell y'all a little more about myself. So... I paint. I draw. I write (poetry and other). I dance a little. I sing. I act. I am OBSESSED with Harry potter, hunger games, and reading in general :) I would love to have a full time blog rather like this, but one that people would actually read. -__- I'm hoping to post some poetry on here, so check it out when you can! Poem. Called “smile”.
I wrote it a while ago, but I thought I should have SOMETHING to share, so..here:
When the quickly fading streaks of gray magic marker
are dripping tears
on your trembling shoulders
you think
hope
is lost.
you scream in your mind
so loudly
the sound presses against the sides of your skull
until you think you will break.
yet, no matter what your mind tells you
there is always a way
to repair
the shattered fragments of the glass mirror
that is your soul.
this miracle
is called
a smile.
though many are capable,
how often do we really think
of our smiles?
the sunshine that illuminates
even the darkest of shadows
the eager, clear voice
that can be heard
over even the loudest of noises.
such a simple gesture
no one stops
to think of how dismal our world
would be
without it.
friendly
sincere
it is the purest way to make the earth
a better place
a cleaner environment.
the hot temper
that can bubble out over boiling point
and turn our words
to smoky flames
spit into the air
it solves nothing
for it can be quenched
by the crystal waters
of a friendly wave
or a sly grin.
we are empowered
by the smile
and those of us
who appreciate it
are the symbols of a perfect
future.
anger
is the key
to a chest of lies and deception
to a spoiled garden
of empty words
and shattered dreams.
the optimists
are much the wiser
than the foolhardy, ill tempered souls
of complicated minds
and superior thoughts.
though we think it is useless
it is all we need
to turn the people of our nation
in the right direction.
for it
is everything
and everyone
that matters.
so treasure
the shining bead of pearls
that is
a smile.
